The future's a thing of the past.

Alfonso Cuarón shows in this riveting action thriller a disconcerting picture of the future. Children of Men also stars Julianne Moore as the leader of an underground opposition group and Michael Caine as Jasper.

8.3 · Enthralling, haunting, brilliant
Intriguing movie, set in a dystopian near-future, where for unknown reasons humanity has become infertile. The movie is shot in a very realistic, serious and bleak view. The cinematography stands out as truly amazing and emerges you right into the action. There are a few scenes over 4 minutes long that are shot in one single take, while total mayhem falls upon the main characters.

Has a nice reference to Pink Floyd's album Animals.
